Pizza Cook-Off Association
Jerry approached me about needing a website for his newly founded national Pizza Cook-Off Association much to my excitement. After discussing his goals with him, I determined that he needed a website with tiered membership portals, newsletter sign ups, embedded check-out, embedded event registration, a maintained calendar of events, sponsorship opportunities for advertising on the site, and an e-commerce shop for PCA swag. Jerry worked tirelessly to get the text written and we worked together to craft the website map. I used stock photos and video for the assets at first, until he was able to get a photographer on-site in Georgia. I created 3 membership tiers and developed the portals for each tier. We implemented advertising promotions for sponsors after Jerry acquired sponsorship. This has been an ongoing project that I hold dear to my heart.
Detroit Training Center
I redesigned DTC’s entire website, instead of their initial request to simply update and maintain it. The original website was on Wordpress and had not been updated in quite some time. Because DTC was not interested in making any sales on their site and it was solely a portfolio of the classes offered there, I chose to transfer the entire site to Squarespace. I updated all of the photography and video with my own content because it was more eye-catching and up-to-date. I divided the site’s pathways between two categories of visitors—Students and Employers. This allowed for visitors to get to the information that they needed in a more efficient manner.

Mary, a musician and yoga instructor, hired me to create a website at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. She wanted to use the website as a portfolio for her skills, as well as sell online live yoga classes. I designed her website with the goals of both getting class registrations and inquiries into her musical performances. I created a calendar using Eventbrite embedded checkout for registrations and photographed stock photos for the site.
